Mathew Satya Babu represented India at the Asian Basketball Championships in Seoul, South Korea in 1967, Bangkok in 1969 and Manila in 1970. He was 79 years old. Basketball is a team sport, consisting of two teams with 5 active players.

Kalpana Chawla, the first female astronaut of Indian origin, was paid tribute on her death anniversary on 01 February 2020. He died in the 2003 Columbia Space Shuttle accident. The shuttle disintegrated over Texas when it entered the Earth’s atmosphere. Chawla, born on 1 July 1961 in Karnal, Haryana, went on a space trip for the first time in the year 1997. With this achievement, she became the second Indian to travel space after Rakesh Sharma.

Canada’s female footballer Christine Sinclair became the world’s highest goalscorer. Recently he scored the 185th goal of his career, which is the most goals scored by any player. He broke the record for 184 goals by American footballer AB Wambach. This record includes both women and men.

Finance Minister Nirmala went to announce tax exemption on annual earnings by Sitaraman Budget 2020 to Rs 5 lakh. Apart from this, it has been announced to impose a 10% income tax on an annual income of 5 to 7.5 lakh rupees and a 20% income tax on an annual income of 10 to 12.5 lakhs. The Finance Minister has also said that the new tax system will be optional for taxpayers.

10.c. Rs 5958 crore

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her budget speech that the central government is taking special steps for the development of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. It is proposed to allocate Rs 30,757 crore for the recently formed Union States in 2020-21. A budget of Rs 5958 crore has been announced for Ladakh by the government.
