1. RBI maintains repo rate at 5.15 percent, know full information here

The RBI kept the repo rate unchanged at 5.15 percent in the last monetary policy review meeting of the current financial year. For the second consecutive meeting, the repo rate has been kept constant. RBI has not made any changes in the Repo Rate and Reverse Repo in the monetary policy presented.

The RBI has also maintained an estimate of five percent of the economic growth rate in the financial year 2019-20. The reverse repo rate also remains at 4.90 percent. The reverse repo rate is the rate at which banks get interest on the money deposited in the RBI on their behalf.

7. Bhutan Indian tourists Free Entry finish will now charge

Recently Bhutan has introduced a new system for regional tourists. This system has been called ‘Sustainable Development Fee’. This fee will have to be paid not only to tourists from India but also to Maldives, Bangladesh. This fee will be charged as ‘Sustainable Development Fee’.

Children coming from India, Maldives, and Bangladesh, whose age is below five years, will not have to pay any kind of fee. While for children aged 6 to 12 years, a fee of Rs 600 will have to be paid. Most tourists from India visit the western region of Bhutan.

8. India developed a vaccine to control ‘ classical swine fever ‘

India has been using the UK based Swine Fever vaccine since 1964. The new vaccine has been developed by a team of six IVRI scientists. According to experts, there is an annual requirement of 20 million doses of vaccines in the country, but the availability is only 12 lakh doses.

Scientists have discovered the method of making vaccines from cell culture. After finding this method, the rabbit will no longer have to be killed. This vaccine will help protect rabbits.

9. Joint military exercise ‘SAMPRITI-IX’ between India and Bangladesh begins in Meghalaya

This exercise is an attempt to have significant bilateral defense cooperation between India and Bangladesh. During this time, strategic action will also be practiced in combating extremism and terrorism under the direction of the United Nations.

This military exercise takes place in Bangladesh for one year and India in another year.
